Due to the issues created by the Coronavirus I designed and prototyped 3 versions of replacement Respirators / Filter Masks. Simple, inexpensive, and functional were my main goals. Take a look at the 3 videos and see what you think. All comments and criticism are welcome! Keep in mind that none of these designs has been evaluated by industry professionals. These masks are also not approved by any regulatory body! Build at your own risk

Version 3 is a universal design that includes a injection molded silicone seal and a top quality a 3M brand filter. It is designed to be made with a resin printer. You can download the print files here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4626816

Version 2 is another universal design that incorporates a silicone seal. This version has been submitted to the National Institute of Health for consideration in their PPE database. It’s unique in the way that the seal is made with standard silicone caulk from a tube! (aquarium grade recommended) Download the print files here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4292905

Version 1 goes over the workflow for a custom mask designed for your own face. This is the same workflow that I used for all my mask designs. Keep in mind that I use the wrong air filter media in this video. The MERV16 air filter contains FIBERGLASS and is not good for use in a respirator. Please consider filter media carefully!
